The fact that Procreate and Apple Pencil completely removes a keyboard and a mouse based input really doesn't seem to be hurting the workflow at all. I keep reading that Photoshop is primarily designed for photo manipulation and not really drawing, so why are people even using it for drawing digitally? Still wouldn't want to use Photoshop on it though :). I have heard a lot of people say that an iMac/MBP that lets them use Apple Pencil is their dream device and I can see why. I know the tools aren't stopping me from making great art and all that, these are just my observations. I am a beginner (haven't logged even a 100 hours in Photoshop), yet I feel that desktops just aren't the best tools for the job. The added benefit of a keyboard and mouse in a desktop really doesn't seem to be of any significance if people can use an iPad+Apple Pencil in a more natural way, pinch to zoom, rotate, draw directly on screen. ![]() I have only taken a look at Affinity Photo's UI and it looks somewhat better (colored icons, thank you!). The brushes are presented in a graphical way which I find easier to comprehend as a beginner at least. Also the brush opacity and flow are put in a drop down list which is also a better way to organize these settings, which in Photoshop is scattered in a not to sensible fashion. Krita does handle all of the above problems in a somewhat better manner, I really like the big brush size and opacity sliders in the middle, really emphasizes them as it should. And all the icons being black and white is very lackluster as well. ![]() The fact that those icons change in size when you change your brush size is so stupid, who needs that to happen? At very small brush sizes the icon of the current brush looks like a dot really. Seriously those tiny brush icons are barely visible. Well this is going to get nitpicky, I personally just hate the UI of Photoshop, the icons are so ridiculously small, same can be said for the text.
